An action RPG videogame developped by Ubisoft, set in 16th-century Japan during the Sengoku period. It features two protagonists, a shinobi and a samurai. The game unfolds around 1580 at the height of Oda Nobunaga’s power. It blends real history with fiction through figures such as Yasuke and Hattori Hanzo, while exploring detailed cities, castles, and landscapes.
As part of Helix, Ubisoft’s internal branding and visual design team, I created over 50 trophy and achievement icons for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The art direction follows a stylized, high-contrast sumi-e Japanese painting style that aligns with the game’s logo and visual identity.
I created each icon as vector artwork in Adobe Illustrator using a set of custom brushes that I developed to achieve an authentic ink-driven look. I combined brush strokes and ink splatters, transformed into vector shapes, and used them as building blocks.
