Splinter Cell: Double Agent is an action-adventure stealth game, developed and published by Ubisoft in 2006. The series follows the character Sam Fisher, an agent employed by Third Echelon, a black-ops division of the NSA. Two very distincts versions of this title were made. There was a version for the “Old Gen” consoles developed in Montreal, and one for the “Next Gen” systems made in Shanghai. I end-up working on both :)
So in early 2006, I packed my bags and embarked on a 6 months mission to China. The game was still far from completion and time was running short. We worked really hard, completely redesigned the Front-End, the HUD, the Game Menus, etc… basically all the UI. In Shanghai I met a lot of talented, passionate and motivated developers. It was my first experience is Asia. It gave me a taste for travel and the expat life.
